Click & Collect Service at Stony Stratford Library
Good news! Although Stony Stratford Library remains closed they are now able to offer a click and collect service. Books can be collected from Stony Stratford Library on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm. For full details of the click and collect service and how to reserve your books please go to: https://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/libraries/library-community/click-collect. Strict measures are in place to ensure that this service is as safe as possible
At a recent GHRA monthly meeting the committee agreed to go ahead and enquire with MKC about the possibility of restoring the Local Centre and Swimming Pool to community use.
GHRA need to establish how much support we have within the community and would like to survey each Court to obtain the residents views.
The Court reps have been out and about knocking on doors but may have missed you if you were out so if you have not given your Court rep your thoughts please use this form.
The GHRA Committee would like to thank the MK Community Foundation for their generous funding to buy tablet computers for the residents of Galley Hill to use. The money has been used to purchase tablets which will be loaned to GH residents who would like to stay in touch with relatives or friends further afield. Thanks to the MK Community Foundation we have been able to afford several tablet computers for this purpose.
Thank you from the GHRA Committee, and residents of Galley Hill.
“Arts Gateway MK is the nearest arts organisation to Fullers Slade and, being on Kiln Farm. For two years we`ve been at 20 Burners Lane, the large sand-coloured building on Pitfield, 200m south of Millers Way, where we provide 75 studios for all sorts of creatives. We have around a dozen recently completed and available if any parish creatives have a full or part-time creative practice and would like their own workspace in our creative family.
We`ve just posted two short-term jobs at https://www.artsgatewaymk.org/category/opportunities/. Unusually for us, they`re paid. If anyone has, or knows someone who has experience in helping small charities (organisation capacity and fund-raising), to help us make a difference, the closing date is 10th July.
Thanks to the hard working guys and girls behind the scenes GHRA has been awarded a Gold Accreditation by Milton Keynes Council. Key members of the committee have been working hard to put all the pieces in place to receive this award, and a cash grant which accompanies it which will be used to help the community in Galley Hill.
Congratulations to the GHRA events team who organised a wonderful VE Day Social Distancing Street party which had lots of support as can be seen on our shared photo album.
