In line with many clinical commissioning groups nationally, and in particular Luton, Bedfordshire and Nene \/ Northamptonshire, NHS Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group is recommending to GP practices that they do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions from community pharmacies.\u00a0 Work elsewhere has shown a high level of waste particularly when the patient isn\u2019t contacted by the pharmacy before the repeat is requested from the practice. \u00a0See below where we have attached a leaflet that patients will receive along with a personalised letter from their practice.\u00a0 Practices will also take the opportunity to promote sign up to on-line services. <\/p>\n\n\nTemplate-Patient-letter-Third-party-ordering-changes-made-002<\/a>\n
