picnics <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 This is being delayed until we have insurance, which the committee is currently investigating<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open Garden &amp; Counts Competition <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Looking for signs of interest<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Milton Keynes at 50 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 In June there will be many events taking place, however GH is 50 in five years\u2019 time, which will be when we run events. \u00a0The local head teacher is keen to get engaged in different events.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are also looking at getting a memorial bench. \u00a0There have been promising meetings with SSTC. \u00a0There are also questions about having local children in a competition to design the bench.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Christmas Events (singing\/Santa) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Carried over until next meeting.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Funding <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 We now have a bank account, so we can officially apply for grants.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, we need to apply for grants which require particular activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communication<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNoose\u201d newsletter <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Attendees all said that they received this. \u00a0We received compliments in it. \u00a0We are hoping to build this up over time and are also keen to attract sponsorship. \u00a0Any events about local events or events that local people are volunteering will be gratefully received as short articles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFriends of Galley Hill\u201d Facebook page <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 About half of attendees have signed up.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notice board <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 This is being very slow to move \u2013 however the town clerk is looking into this.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Website \u2013 GHRA.uk <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 This is kept up to date and also has a calendar with upcoming events. \u00a0It also has a web-form to contact the council. \u00a0Minutes are kept on the website. \u00a0(If you cannot access the webpage, copies of the minutes will be available at the meetings for you to look though.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Problems<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trees\/leaves\/landscaping <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 The last tree maintenance for the estate was a long time ago, and this will be raised at the next council meeting. \u00a0(<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adam to speak on this to the Parish Council<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Antisocial parking <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 This is a long-standing problem and there may not be a quick fix, however the parking makes it difficult for people to access their homes, road-sweepers to remove leaves (preventing clogged drains), etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pathway\/road problems <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 This may be possible to tackle in the medium term if we act as a community. (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Debbie to speak on this to the Parish Council<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Rubbish put outside at the wrong time (consistently). \u00a0The fire-brigade has been contacted, but this isn\u2019t currently considered a fire hazard. (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nyomie on behalf for Mrs? to speak on this to the Parish Council<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Loud music out of hours has also been raised by several people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have problematic\/anti-social issues, please keep a note. \u00a0This can then be raised with the parish council.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speakers please come to the June committee meeting so that they can discuss this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any other business <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mick has stepped down as vice-chair of GHRA (after 6 months of teething for GHRA), but will remain as our liaison officer to SSTC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be an election for vice chair in 2 months\u2019 time (July meeting). \u00a0Please stand! \u00a0The nominations will be open for the next month (until 15th June committee meeting). \u00a0Voting will then take place over the following month until the next open meeting (20th July). \u00a0Nominees statements will be posted on the GHRA.uk website. \u00a0Votes can either be made in person at the July meeting or via email to the committee before the July meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next parish council meeting will be at Galley Hill (on 18th July, 7pm at the small meeting place above the shop). \u00a0All local councillors will be here. \u00a0Please save the date and come along to meet them all. \u00a0However, for this to work, volunteers to speak for the whole estate on specific items will strengthen the case. \u00a0We would like volunteers to do this. \u00a0Ideally we will have 3 questions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2017 street map of Milton Keynes now how Galley Hill back on the map.
